2019 Akrasia Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon
Line of Fire Vineyard

140 CASES PRODUCED

Our 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is the product of a near perfect season. Early rain, a dry winter and fog-shrouded mornings over a long, warm summer resulted in vibrant color, soft tannins and bright acidity.. It was aged 22 months in new and used French oak barrels and has aromas of cassis, vanilla bean and caramel with flavors of ripe cherries, dark chocolate and spice on the palate.

“I’ve been saying it for years; valley-floor California Cab is overcooked (a fault of the winemaker or Robert Parker, not Mother Nature) and overpriced. Give me the mid-palate subtlety of Cab, the gooey milk chocolate and soft peppermint. This is the closest thing I have had (from California) to Pichon Longueville or Pauillac in ages, elegant and restrained in its opulence.”
